December Wrap Up and January TBR

Hello Book Friends! I hope you all have had a fantastic Christmas and Happy New Year!Β  I know I sufficiently stuffed my face with all kinds of delicious foods over the past few weeks – not gonna lie, it was totally worth it! Anyway, now that it’s over, I’m back in book world! πŸ™‚

I completed my December TBR, which was only TWO books but I’m still patting myself on the back for finishing it.

  1. Restore Me by Tahereh Mafi. I listened to this on audiobook and oh my goodness it does not disappoint! I absolutely, loved catching up on Juliette, Warner, Adam, and Kenji! And the cliffhanger ending had me like !!!
  2. Corspe and Crown by Alisa Kwitney. This e-arc book was super cute and I loved everyone second of it. (It’s an Oliver Twist retelling) The review will be coming soon as it releases next month!

So, onto my January TBR.

I was only going to read 4 books this month, but I have pretty high ambitions, though I suspect I’ll only end up reading 3 or 4 because that’s how I roll, lol. >_<

  1. Batman: Nightwalker by Marie Lu. I’m super excited to read the next installment of the DC icons. I’ve read Wonder Woman: Warbringer by Leigh Bardugo and it was so good. (Also, how fun is it that all these books are written by different authors?!) I’ve yet to read Wildcard and Warcross by Marie Lu, but I really enjoyed The Young Elites series and Prodigy series.
  2. Spectacle by Jodie Lynn Zdrok. I can’t wait to read this. I got this e-arc from the publisher through Netgalley. It sounds really interesting to me because it’s a murder mystery/historical fiction book. And it happens to be set in Paris! It just sounds amazing.
  3. Blood Rose Rebellion by Rosalyn Eves. Apparently I’ve had this on my shelves for about a year, and haven’t read it yet. It’s a historical fiction (I had no idea!) set in England and Hungary. It’s got mixed reviews, but I’m totally looking forward so see what it has to bring to the table.
  4. The Queen of the Tearling by Erika Johansen. I’m attempting to read books off my shelf this year that I’ve yet to read. Apparently, this one has magic (always a fun thing to look forward to), assassins, an evil queen and a princess who has to save them all. I can’t wait to dive into this one!
  5. Shadow of the Fox by Julia Kagawa. Although I said I’m trying to read books off my shelf, I got this one from the library. I’ve already started reading this one and I’m loving it! I actually want to get back to it right now! I’m about 90 pages in and it’s fantastic!

And there you have it!Β  My TBR consists these of 5 books and hopefully I’ll get to them all before the end of the month! As always, thanks for reading! πŸ™‚
